Sugar craft /Food Hygiene Courses
These Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions made with Confectionery and Training
They do not affect your statutory rights; however, UK law is applicable. We reserve the right to alter our terms and conditions at any time, please read them carefully and if you have any questions please contact us before placing an order or booking a class.
Class Times and Venue
Classes will be held at the venue advertised unless otherwise advised by us. We hold the right, if limited numbers are booked to change the venue. You will be entitled to a refund if the venue change does not suit you. Class times are on our website and will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Bookings are taken via our website or email firstname.lastname@example.org, you will get a reply within 24 hours. On receipt of your email we will confirm if there is availability on the course and advise of payment options. Course dates are not held unless a booking form and a deposit is received.
Course prices may be subject to change without notice and we reserve the right to reduce or increase course prices at any time. No refunds partial or in full will be given for courses booked by you that may later decrease in price, nor will we request you pay the difference for any courses you book that may later increase in price. We reserve the right to remove and add new courses to and from our schedule without prior warning.
It is your responsibility to give us the correct contact information when you book a course. If we cannot contact you we cannot be responsible for cancelled or missed courses.
After you have booked and paid for a course you will be sent confirmation details relating to the course.
At present we are taking payments via BACS transfer, cash and PayPal.
We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone or ask a student to leave the class should they present a risk to the business or is a disruption and prevents the rest of the class learning.
Each Cake is individually made to your requirements, so please give us at least seven days’ notice to create your cake. The order can be made over the telephone or by email.
Whilst we will endeavour to match any design, or colour, all cakes are handmade and therefore slight differences may occur.
We reserve the right to use our artistic judgment when designing and creating your cakes and may need to adjust your order accordingly. However, should the need to alter the design arise, we will discuss this with you first.
Most of our flowers and figures are handmade in sugar, therefore they are edible, but as they contain wires and other non-edible supports we strongly suggest that you don’t. They should be removed from your cake before it is cut.
You are responsible for ensuring that caterers/venues are aware of this.
A deposit is required on all cake orders, with the balance due on collection/delivery. All deposits are non-refundable.
Celebration cakes require a 50% deposit to secure your booking.
A £100 deposit is required when ordering a wedding cake, with the outstanding balance being due for payment no later than two weeks before the wedding date. All deposits are non-refundable.
If the final balance for your wedding cake is not received, we will not proceed with your order.
If a wedding cake is cancelled within 2 weeks of the wedding date, the full outstanding balance will be payable.
Delivery and set up / Collection
Wedding cakes can be collected up to 1 day before the wedding, or delivery can be arranged to your reception venue. If delivery is required, please book this at time of order.
We cannot be held responsible for any interference with the completed cake once it has been collected/delivered.
Once delivered/collected, the cake is no longer our responsibility
